Berlin-based technical bag maker. Military-grade materials, modular systems. Handmade in Germany.

Peter Brunsberg, Pe to his mates, was a bike courier in Berlin right after the Wall fell. In 1993, he stumbled on messenger bags from New York couriers at a convention. Nobody knew those in Europe. With his friend Vossi, they salvaged an old Dürrkopp sewing machine and set it up in the living room. First bags sewn from salvaged materials.

First real workshop in Kreuzberg in 1997. Still there. Thirty years later, bags are handmade in Berlin, same neighborhood. The team has 18-20 employees. Since 2005-2006, design uses CAD. A laser cutter has been running for over 15 years. Peter develops automation for repetitive tasks, but assembly stays manual. Bespoke to semi-industrial production, compared in interview (TechUnter Magazine, 2022) to automotive efficiency.

The Acronym collaboration was the turning point. For over 20 years, Bagjack produces the 3A-1 bags for Errolson Hugh. This long-term partnership made the brand a credible name in global techwear, far beyond Berlin messenger circles. Other collaborations followed: Spyder (Korean navy seals), technical exchanges with Arc'teryx. Special projects for medical transport and film equipment.

Innovation goes deep. Bagjack develops modular systems and works on anti-tracking materials, nicknamed "NSA-buster" internally. A golf extension launched via Japanese license with Jun Kuniyasu (ex-Ralph Lauren), managed separately but bags produced in Berlin.

Among bike-courier circles, Bagjack is often cited for its build quality: you pay for real skill. Peter tests everything personally. His wife does the design. It stayed what it started as: a courier sewing bags for his mates, who became one of the world's most respected bag makers.
