Philosophy

Hemp was France's fiber. We forgot it for cotton and synthetics. We're bringing it back, in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, without chemicals.

History

Hemp was France's fiber. Before cotton, before synthetics, sheets and napkins were hemp. Then we forgot.

Couleur Chanvre remembers. Workshop in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Basque Country. Hemp grown in Normandy, processed locally, sent to the Basque Country for weaving and dyeing. Entirely French production.

Ecological dyeing - no heavy metals, no harsh chemicals. Colors inspired by the Basque Country. Hemp is naturally antibacterial, thermoregulating, durable, softening with washes. A hemp sheet lasts decades.
