Susan Špiranović and Adam Holtzinger blow glass in Brooklyn with the same gestures Venetian masters used centuries ago. Every light fixture and object is made to order in their studio, by a small tight-knit crew. No series production, no industrial moulds - molten glass at 1100°C, a breath, a cane, signature patterns born from the movement of the material. Their mission is in their name: KEEP - preserving the craft of glassblowing by passing it on and practising it daily.

Susan Špiranović and Adam Holtzinger meet in 1998 at the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ohio, where they study design and glass. After graduation, they move to NYC together. Adam spends over a decade producing glass for other designers, architects and artists - primarily blown glass lighting, a field that fascinates him for its dual nature: on and off, two objects in one.

In 2013, they launch KEEP to create their own pieces while continuing to fabricate glass for others. The name is a manifesto: keep the tradition of handmade glassblowing alive, pass on knowledge, share the craft.

Their process always starts with a hand sketch, sometimes followed by a 3D render, but everything really happens in the studio. Even with 20+ years of experience, they insist on physical prototyping - it's only by touching the material that you truly understand the object. Some pieces gestate for over two years before going into production.

They use traditional Italian techniques - canework, filigree, patterns embedded in the glass itself - applied to contemporary forms. Every piece is blown, shaped and finished in their Brooklyn studio. They regularly collaborate with architects and designers worldwide on bespoke projects.
