Mover Sportswear
Natural fiber sportswear, merino and alpaca, Lausanne
Too under-the-radar for us to verify anything. Zero community feedback, zero usable track record. We're keeping it under observation.
Philosophy
Swiss brand pushing natural fibers (merino, alpaca, cotton) to their technical limits. Plastic-free alpine apparel with maximum durability.
History
Born in Sweden in 1982 as a Gore-Tex skiing pioneer, Mover got a second life in 2004 when Swiss entrepreneur Nicolas Rochat bought the brand and relocated it to Lausanne with a radical pivot: 100% plastic-free sportswear. Merino, alpaca, cotton - only natural fibers pushed to their technical limits. Business of Fashion covered them as an example of 'next-generation sportswear,' but also noted honest limitations: less durability than synthetics and high prices. With QWSTION, they opened a Zurich shop dedicated to plastic-free sportswear. The concept is compelling, the philosophy is consistent, but let's be honest: commercial activity remains very low (8K Instagram followers) and user feedback is virtually nonexistent. Over 10 years of existence proves perseverance, not yet community validation.
Iconic Products
Merino Techfleece Jacket
Plastic-free technical fleece. High-density merino replacing synthetic fleece. The flagship product proving natural fibers can replace synthetics for technical use. Business of Fashion notes: less durable than synthetics. That's honest.
Alpine Down Jacket (garniture alpaga)
Down jacket without synthetic fill. Alpaca fiber insulation, biodegradable. The natural alternative to PrimaLoft. The concept pushed to extremes: even buttons, cords and threads are compostable. Swiss pricing.
Base Layer Merino
100% merino base layer with no synthetic blend. No hidden polyamide, no elastane, nothing. Just wool. Mover's core concept applied to the most basic garment. If it works here, it works everywhere.
