TOYO Steel began as a metal stamping service for professional tool manufacturers. Their founding innovation was the seamless single-piece stamping technique. Rather than assembling multiple steel components through welding or riveting, TOYO presses a single sheet of steel to form the entire box in one continuous motion. This process results in naturally rounded edges without burrs or joints, producing an object that is stronger, lighter, and visually cleaner than traditional alternatives. It was the first company in the world to apply this sophisticated technique to toolboxes. The Y-350 model, featuring its signature camber-top design, has become a staple of Japanese industrial design, winning the Good Design Award in 2009.
