History
Trakke hand-sewed their bags in a Glasgow workshop - waxed canvas, signature orange lining, Austrian COBRA buckles. Among enthusiasts, one user sums it up: 'excellently made and super durable.' Another on the Bannoch: 'totally worth the price, the waxed canvas develops character.' Then the brand went through dark times. A 2025 thread asked 'Trakke is back?' - suggesting a comeback after a long hiatus. Waxed canvas requires maintenance, re-waxing is part of the ritual, and that's exactly what fans loved. One notable negative review on the Arkaig mentions 'durability quirks', but it's the exception. Trakke's real problem was surviving as a small artisan against the market. Proof that doing things right doesn't guarantee lasting.
