Two Swedish brothers, ski tourers and mountaineers, were tired of ugly sports eyewear. Vallon draws from vintage glacier glasses and 70s cinema to create retro frames with side shields. The design is compelling, the price fair (~$110). On specialist forums, opinions split. Some fans: 'I have three pairs and they are legit.' But a user reports 'super cheap' plastic on the Glaciers, totally lacking rigidity. Worse: among enthusiasts, someone reports Heron Ocean 'polarized' lenses that block zero glare. The style is there, the consistency isn't. Made in Taiwan, 1kg of plastic cleaned per pair sold.
