Veilance
Urban Gore-Tex garments, Arc'teryx luxury line, Vancouver
Philosophy
Arc'teryx luxury line, Veilance applies the most advanced outdoor technologies, Gore-Tex, bonded construction, to minimalist urban pieces. Architectural design, cutting-edge materials, ultra-refined production.
History
Veilance is the question nobody asked: what if you took Gore-Tex, taped seams and Arc'teryx know-how and made office clothes? Launched in 2009, the line pushes architectural minimalism to the point of hiding pockets. Among enthusiasts, the verdict is clear: 'excellent patterning abilities and near-perfect QC.' On enthusiasts: 'build quality is amazing.' The only running joke: sleeves too long - 'Arcteryx really need to fix them long ass sleeves.' The price hurts ($800+ for a jacket), and since the Amer Sports acquisition (Chinese group Anta), some purists worry. But build quality remains a cut above mainline. Made in Canada.
